Put some ice cubes in a plastic bag and wrap in a thin towel. Place it on the affected area for 10 – 15 minutes. Repeat a couple of times a day for a couple of days. Just as the cold packs, the heat packs help in the treatment of shoulder pain, calming the l’inflammation and swelling. Fill a bag with hot water and apply it on the sore shoulder for 10-15 minutes, while you lie down comfortably. Repeat a couple of times a day until you get complete relief. It is possible to compress l’affected area with an elastic bandage or a hot compress, you can easily buy in the pharmacy. Wrap the affected area for a couple of days or until the pain and swelling are gone. Also, keep the shoulder higher than the rest of the body, with l’help of pillows.
